성급하게 행동하다, 경솔하게 서둘다, 서둘러 결론을 내리다

Don't jump the gun. It can just add fuel to the fire. 서두르지 마. 상황을 더 악화시킬 수 있어.

We really jumped the gun agreeing to the terms of this deal. I feel like we did not read the contract carefully enough.

 

on the house: complimentary; to be given something by a business 무료.

Because you have always been such good customers, dinner is on the house tonight.

 

go Dutch: split the cost of something, especially a meal. 잘 쓰이진 않음.

sperate checks. split cost가 더 많이 쓰인다.

Do you want to go Dutch for dinner? I am a little short on cash.

 

run errands:  a short trip to fulfill some small business. 은행 보기 업무 등 잡일 처리 하러 갈 때 쓰인다.

I need to go run some errands on my lunch break today.

Sorry I couldn't have lunch with you today, I had to run some errands.

Better: The time between one bus leaving and the next bus arriving was about 20 minutes.

 

Original: The bus I wanted to get it was came very quickly.

Better: The bus I wanted to get on came very quickly.

 

Original: I really regret not to buy lotto.

Better: I really regretted not buying a lotto ticket.

 

Original: Don't jump the gun. If you hurry to decide something, there are many chance you make mistake.

Better: Don't jump the gun. If you yurry to decided something, there are many chances that you could make a mistake.
