I might as well...: 강제적으로 어떤 상황에 처했을 때, 자신에게 다른 선택지는 없을 시, ~할 수도 있지. 라는 느낌으로 사용. 주로 부정적으로 사용.
I might as well resign from my position. (회사에서 강제로 팀을 옮기라고 했다고 가정). 퇴사할 수도 있지.
I might as well get used to my new position.
I might as well ask to be transferred to an overseas branch.
I might as well look for another job.
put somebody in ~ position: ~을 ~한 입장에 놓이게 하다. 주로 ~을 어려운 입장에 놓이게 하다.
