agree with + 사람·의견: ~에 동의하다

I totally agree with you. (사람)

I totally agree with your decision. (의견)

 

 

agree on + 의견: ~에 합의하다. 

'agree on'은 ‘큰 주제에 대하여 동의하는 것’이나 ‘여러 사람이 한 주제에 대하여 동의하는 것’을 나타낼 때 사용됩니다. ‘agree with’가 개인적으로 동의하는데 사용되는데 반하여 ‘agree on'은 공식적인 동의에 사용합니다.

The two nations failed to agree on the cease fire.

The council agreed on the proposal.

 

agree to 동사원형·명사: ~하기로 동의하다.

agree 다음에 'to 동사원형‘이 오게 되면 ’어떤 행위를 하기로 동의하는 것‘이 됩니다.

She agreed to see the movie with me.

We agreed to meet tomorrow.

 

I agree to his proposal. (명사)

‘agree to + 명사’는 ‘찬성하다’라는 의미로 쓰입니다. 즉, ‘생각이 완전히 같지는 않지만 결정 되었으니 하겠다’라는 뉘앙스입니다. ‘다수결에서 결정된 사항을 따른다’ 정도로 이해하면 될 것 같습니다.
