contingency: something that might happen in the future

Most large businesses have cash reserves as a contingency for bad debts.

 

tardy: occurring, arriving, acting, or done after the scheduled, expected, or usual time; late.

procrastinate: delay doing something until later, usually something that you do not want to do. (해야 할 일을 보통 하기가 싫어서) 미루다
